DIABETIC RETINOPATHY

Diabetic retinopathy occurs when the tiny blood vessels in the retina are damaged due to diabetes. When early damage occurs, there may be no symptoms. Symptoms often start to emerge in the later stages and these include blurred vision, eye strain and headaches.

Regular eye exams and good diabetes management reduce the risk of diabetic retinopathy and vision loss.
