Warranties, Exchanges and Repairs

Optical Frames

Our designer optical frames come with 2 years manufacturer's warranty. This covers frame faults, with repairs or full replacements where necessary.

Our Spencer Wilson and Coast optical frames come with 12 months manufacturer's warranty. This covers frame faults, with repairs or full replacements where necessary. 

Our warranties do not cover frame damage from misuse, frame alterations, accidents or general wear and tear.

Sunglasses

All our sunglasses come with 12 months manufacturer's warranty. This covers frame faults, with repairs or full replacements where necessary.  

Our warranties do not cover sunglass  damage from misuse, frame alterations, accidents or general wear and tear.

Lenses

Premium Anti-reflective coatings have 2 years manufacturer's warranty against coating defects.

Standard Anti-reflective coatings have 12 months manufacturer's warranty against coating defects.

Our warranties do not cover lenses which are damaged from misuse or accidents such as scratches, heat or chemical damage.

Ultra tough lenses fitted to semi-rimless or rimless frames have 2 years warranty against cracking or splitting with normal use. There is no warranty for mistreated lenses in these situations. 

Spectacle Prescription Guarantees

90 day spectacle prescription guarantee, allows for change of prescription as needed, for example, if there are adaptation issues with lens power changes. This guarantee applies for prescriptions issued by our Optometrists only.  

When patients have issues adapting to multifocal lenses, we offer options to change to bifocal or single vision lenses. The costs for making the multifocal lenses would not be refunded, but the replacement lenses would be of no charge. We do not take multifocal orders online as they need to be fitted accurately in store.

Purchasers agree that external prescriptions (not issued by our own Optometrists) are not guaranteed. Eyecare Plus Wollongong is not responsible for any costs involved in remaking external prescriptions with adaptation issues or inaccurate details. 

Sale Items

Sale items have limited or no warranties, as it may not be possible to obtain replacement parts with end of season items. 

Postage Fees for returning items

Postage fees for returning items for warranty repairs and replacements are not covered. New postage fees apply for posting repaired or replaced items to the purchaser. 

Change of mind

Exchanges or refunds for prescription spectacles are not available for "change of mind" as prescription lenses ordered are made to individual fittings and can not be resold. Non-prescription items, not yet worn and with all original labels intact and no damages or change of original condition may be returned for exchange within 14 days of purchase.
